Buy Stuff For Other People
It's that time of the year again...time to BUY STUFF FOR OTHER PEOPLE!!!

Still reeling from the catastrophic medical bills for his beloved cat, Lola (R.I.P.), storyboard guru of note Stephen DeStefano is playing Santa with another batch of his fantastic storyboards from season 3 of The Venture Bros. over on the eBay..

...Not to mention some sweet Venture Bros. wearables heretofore available only to The Venture Bros. production crew:

So CLICK HERE TO GO BUY SOME OF THAT and help the kid out. Tis the season and so on...

How about Bif Bang Pow's second wave of Venture Bros. retro-action figures? HANK & DR. GIRLFRIEND and ORPHEUS & PHANTOM LIMB sets are currently available for your pre-ordering pleasure...

(incidentally, I've already seen the head sculpts for the third wave, and while I can't tell you what they are yet, they're very cool)

I wish I could say I've been getting plenty of rest and recharging since we finished The Venture Bros. season 4 finale, but I'd be lying. Doc and I finally finished recording all the commentaries for the Season 4 vol. 2 DVD, and we've spent the past few days combing through deleted scenes for the special features. Both the Season 4 Vol. 2 DVD and the full 16 episode Complete Season 4 Blu-Ray are due out in March of 2011.

And since late spring, I've also been helping out in a story editor/consulting producer capacity on the second season of SuperJail, which is currently in production down at the new TriBeCa branch of Titmouse Studios. So I'm still doing that, and those of you who are fans of SuperJail and have been missing it have ten long-overdue new episodes to look forward to in spring or summer of 2011.

Lastly, thanks to you all for the many many kind words you had to say about our hour-long season finale "Operation: P.R.O.M." over the past few weeks, both here and across the vast information superhighway. Doc and I are super-pleased and proud that you all dug it. (Well, all of you except that one Republican Sci-Fi website who gave us a bad review, in which they also prematurely cancelled us.)

We Love You,

P.S. Yes, we'll be doing another Christmas song this year. We've already made our selection, but we haven't recorded it yet.

I read that review in question but decided to refrain from spamming them with hate-mail. From the opening paragraph my jaw started to lower and the only thing I could think of is "are we watching the same show? What the hell is this guy talking about?"

Ah I do enjoy the Christmas song. Thanks again you guys for the great show. It's really 2 shows. The delightful cartoon and then the conversational series that is the commentaries. I sure hope they pay you twice as much.

These nipple hairs are soooo fake.

This was a great day for me. Thank you. Whose chest is this?

Not to bring this up so many weeks after the fact but I had a question.

When 21 has his realization about 24 and embraces Doctor O, what is the song playing in the background? Did you guys do that one? That paired with the strength of the writing made me tear up. It was an amazing scene.

P.S. I am all over the new wave of figures, they all look great. Any chance for Dermott and long haired rebellion Hank figures?

You guys are helping out on Superjail?!

Wow, that's great news. I didn't even know they got a second season!
Take it easy guys, I want you fresh and awesome for the next season of hour-long episodes of The Venture Bros.! (I know it isn't guaranteed, but a guy can hope right?)

If you were to mass-produce those Team Venture jackets... I'd buy two.

Re: You guys are helping out on Superjail?!

I'd buy three. -even if Flavaflav was in one.

(Deleted comment)
More importantly, was it Dave or Martin?? Or Fletch!?

Read the interview you and Doc did with Adult Swim UK.

Wanted to let you know, we trust you!
You can kill off whomever you like, change the characters as much as you want, totally revamp the show each season...and we'll still watch. We trust that whatever happens, the show will be poignant and funny and full of snappy catch phrases we can amuse ourselves with.

We know that entertaining us each week is hard work and we appreciate it!

Trolling seems to be in full effect on that Venture bashing website. The fools must not have paid attention when the credits rolled. I really do hope you guys return. It was a stunning finally that left me with so many questions(as usual). By the way, LOVED the Arrested Development reference throughout the whole episode. Keep up the amazing work. Truly an inspiration to self teachers everywhere

i made an account just to ask this question and im assuming nobody noticed the part where you said "Well, all of you except that one Republican Sci-Fi website who gave us a bad review, in which they also prematurely cancelled us." is the venture brothers really canceled!?

Lol... A Republican Sci-Fi website doesn't really have the authority to do that.

The creative style you and Doc demonstrate with The Venture Bros. is perfect. Each season has been funnier, better-written and more dynamic than the ones before it. I hope you keep doing things your way and making this show for many more years to come, because it is working.

Sgt. Hatred is consistently one of the funniest characters in every episode he appears in. I really like how you worked him, Hunter and Shoreleave into the main recurring cast of characters this past season.

Looking forward to seeing what The Revenge Society does in the future, and the completion of JJ's Gargantua-2 space station. Will the clown-face-handed mech from The Lepidopterists make a reappearance?

On the subject of VB toys, how about a Shoreleave pullstring doll? "Activate BOOTS-ofthe-GOSPEL!" "BOOM! Yummy." "SPHINX!"

C: Yay Christmas Song! I can't wait!

I really, REALLY hope there is more Venture Bros to come. Your show is amazing and inspiring. However, if the show did end with "Operation P.R.O.M." I wouldn't be entirely sad, because that is one hell of a way to go out. Still though, I am crossing my fingers for more.

So like... what does Operation P.R.O.M. stand for?

Absolutely stellar episode, but of course I get stuck on this one detail because I am a crazy person.
