The secret files of the Ventureverse

Previous Entry Share Next Entry

So this is it. Tonight is the big finale of the longest Venture Bros. season (or pair of half-seasons) ever. It's been a long time coming. A bit of a departure from our previous season finales in a lot of ways, but I won't go into that for fear of spoiling...

This is a bit of an experiment, this hour-long thing. And for the record, we can't thank adultswim enough for letting us expand our creative horizons and make this thing. For us, it was a very liberating experience and helped salvage our souls from the ravages of a difficult season to produce.

A lot of extra time and love went into this episode, from everyone involved (thank you, VB crew!) We certainly hope you enjoy it...and we'll be checking in with you every commercial break to make sure you do.

More news soon...

We Love You,

So far it's the best yet. General Treister was great, the whole hulk thing was hilarious. Just so many things that were great about the episode that I can't list here, I can't wait to see what you and Doc slave out for us in Season 5. Btw I hope those in the Limo return in Season 5, I mean it is possible, if you've seen the movie Hudson Hawk. Anyways thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the great entertainment, hope you and Doc, and the entire VB crew gets some much needed R&R.

P.S. could you please clear up what a "Rusty Venture" is?

I thought Season 3 was the worst season yet. And you followed it with your best yet. And the finale was the cherry on top of the sundae of awesome. Well done!

Can't wait for the full-season Blu-Ray and word on Season 5.

I just realized you were wearing a bitchin Hank Co. Stocking cap, where could I get one of those fantastic things? I live in Iowa, and snow is soon to be upon us and I would love to look fantabulous while clearing out the wall of snow that my "awesome" city plow drivers put at the end of my driveway.

Sorry, but unless the merch people at Williams Street decide to make them, those HankCo hats are not available to the general public. I made them myself as gifts for the Venture Bros. crew last Christmas.

Guys this had to be one of the greatest season finales I have ever seen - and I don't mean for the Venture Brothers, I mean for a television show period. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire episode worried if or when someone would die.

Everything from Dean finally manning up to 21's discovery about 24 (BROKE MY HEART!)...just everything was amazing!

All your hard work paid off guys! Please keep it up! We all love your show.

I always thought the best explanation for "In Head #6" on Battlestar Galactica (Tricia Helfer in the red dress) was that Dr. Baltar had had a psychotic breakdown.

Hopefully there's no curse with getting the obscure name-drop; apparently Baba Oje was hospitalized with a mild stroke between the time the episode was finalized and aired.

There wasn't a single point where I wasn't thinking "Holy Shit! This is freaking awesome!"

Now I want Season 5 more than ever.

Also, Doc, he needs to eat a sandwich. Or 3. He's got that whole Andrew Eldritche from the late 80's thing going, and look how that turned out.

It was soooo awesome, I loved it! I made sure I had no plans so I could watch it. Thank you soo much for all your hard work and continueing the venture bros series. I hope there's still more in the future.

Just caught operation prom on itunes. Freakin great. I sure hope there will be another season.
Love the show

Fantastic final, thank you :)

Really hope the next season you switch to a 45 minute format even if it is more work ;)

Greedy for more Venture, TY!

Are you guys ever gonna release that single by Shallow Gravy? Because it's darling.

A fantastic ending bringing together just the right level of absurdity and pathos.

Two questions:

What was the name of the song used for the Molotov to Credits sequence?

Where did you guys film your segments for Adult Swim?

"Like a Friend" from Pulp.

I've been listening to it about 6 times in a row now.

I loved it!!!
I really was digging the Brock and Mol scene and the music, for an ending that was pure Win.
I gained a whole new appreciation for your work last night, and can't truly convey how amazing that was to watch!

Great Episode, Except . . .

How could you have an episode where an aphrodisiac is a plot point and fail to reference "Funky Cold Medina"?

Great episode all around.

One question concerning Triana's mother, Tatiana: I'm assuming that her not speaking during the episode was intended, but have you already cast her voice (if only theoretically)?

Looking forward to seeing you again at DragonCon!

Just when I thought I could not laugh any harder, there is General Treister zooming through space with a Post-It note ("FIX IT") on his bare chest. Please let the aliens find and revive him.

And that smile on Brock's face when the hos went all "The Fly" was just delicious.

...I just suffered my second spit-take in 24hrs. Thanks.

Royal Haeger 40's Tiger on Rock Lamp! COOL!

Love the Venture Brothers! but what a treat it was to see the Royal Haeger tiger on rock lamp from the 40's on last nights show sitting between you guys during the breaks. I wish you could have included some of the pottery company in your episodes. You have such a talent for including pop culture in every show including the only existing pottey company that has been in business for over a 130+ years would have been cool. Not to mention that most guys who collect that pottery line are gay :-) If anybody would like to know more info on this lamp and others Haeger made just drop me a line. :-)
