First of all, thanks for all the praise and congratulations heaped upon me and Doc via this Livejournal and some of the message boards I so frantically perused in the hours after our premiere. You have warmed the cockles of our tiny, black hearts. And we are pleased you enjoyed our little telepresentation.

In lieu of any preview images this time, may I direct you to the adultswim.com clips page, wherein one can view a number of spoiler-heavy, moderately joke-killing preview clips from future episodes. No doubt Adult Swim will keep posting more clips from other future episodes in that location during the coming week(s), so I guess keep checking back there from time to time. It's probably why they do that.

And, of course, there is also Adult Swim's "Friday Night Fix", wherein one can re-watch last week's premiere episode and, in a few hours, this week's episode up to 52 1/2 hours before the rest of the country gets to see it. Bear in mind, it's not as cool as watching it on TV for a lot of reasons (jerky streaming, lower quality picture and audio, and the lack of a certain indescribable energy a "live" broadcast possesses--like hearing your favorite song on the radio as opposed to on an iPod or something). I'm still not sure how I feel about this whole showing-the-episode-before-it-airs thing, but I'm just gonna roll with it as some sort of exercise in the power of the internet and viral marketing. Or something like that.

For those of you who bought the Venture Bros. Season One DVD, there is a "lost commentary" available for download at quickstopentertainment.com. We always knew there'd only be room for about four or five episode commentaries on the set, but we recorded a few extra ones as we worked out our various sound problems and tried to tried to acclimate ourselves to the idea of talking at our computer for 22 1/2 minutes. Also to give Adult Swim a variety to choose from. If you liked the commentaries on the DVDs, this is more of the same kind of fast and loose crap. If, however, like a number of people who complained that we just "wander off topic" and "never talk about the shows," you didn't enjoy the commentaries, well...never mind. You probably won't like this one either. But seriously, how much can you talk about the production of a cartoon? There are no amusing anecdotes about "that day on the set," and any time you want to say something like "this is the part where we ripped off ________," they just bleep it out for legal reasons anyway. Incidentally, quickstopentertainment, Kevin Smith's new entertainment news site, is the new home of Honorary Astrobase Cadet Ken Plume, who you may remember often cajoled us into giving him some extras and stuff for ignfilmforce in the past. Keep an eye out in this week's episode, "Hate Floats," for Ken's bedroom, which makes an appearance in the pre-credits sequence (some of the crap Ken's owned and/or sent us for free over the last year also appears, later in the episode). And then marvel at the sheer coincidence, the perfect symmetry of life, wherein we loosely base certain traits of a certain character of ours on our good friend, make that character dress like Kevin Smith used to, and then that self-same friend goes to work for Kevin Smith. Truth is stranger than fiction, and twice as beautiful. Even when it's not pretty.

Just for giggles, below are the titles of all of this season's upcoming episodes, in roughly the order they're to air. Figured I'd beat adultswim.com to the punch for once (titles and running order subject to last minute change, as is our habit):

"Powerless in the Face of Death"

"Hate Floats"

"Assassinanny 911"

"Escape to the House of Mummies"

"20 Years to Midnight"

"Victor. Echo. November."

"Love-Bheits"

"Fallen Arches"

"Guess Who’s Coming to State Dinner?"

"I Know Why the Caged Bird Kills"

"¡Viva los Muertos!"

"Showdown at Cremation Creek"

P.S. How cool is it that Adult Swim is going to start showing Pee Wee's Playhouse?!?

Right on, thanks for the episode titles. I don't know why but "20 minutes to midnight" and "Viva los Muertos" where the names that stuck out and thus are the episodes I'm eagerly waiting to see, eventhough I have no clue what they're about. Have you guys ever thought about releasing a Venture Brothers soundtrack? I'd get that in a second.

Unless im mistaken, 20 minutes to midnight is a play on the Bulettin of Atomic Scientists Doomsday Clock.

"The 'Doomsday Clock,' a symbol of nuclear danger since 1947, currently stands at seven minutes to midnight."

It has been pretty lame since they havnt changed the clock since like 2002.

For more details.

You guys are so fantastic and amazing, the premiere was beyond words. You guys are f'n brilliant!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for existing and for creating Venture Bros.

So was the bit that got bleeped in the DVD commentaries when you talked about the scene in the season finale that parodied John Woo? It's mind-boggling that they'd bleep that out. It's a parody, no one could win a lawsuit over that.

You should check out South Park's "mini-commentary" they do on their dvd's. They have commentary for each episode, but maybe 3-4 minutes worth of it. That's why the SP guys didn't do full commentaries - because there is only so much you can comment about on one episode.

Personally, I don't mind the rambling that's not about the episode. I find it hilarious.

!!!Marketing Idea!!!

Any chance of making a flip book featuring all the deaths of the Venture brothers?

I watched part one of those preview clips, and immediately decided to stay away from them for the rest of the season.

By the way, I only count twelve titles. Did you miss one, or did you do that on purpose?

I'm looking forward to the rest of Season Two - I was really blown away by the visuals, like Season One! (I also fell off of my couch laughing during the episode a few times... ...very, very funny stuff.) I'm also a big Kevin Smith fan - - I can't wait for "Hate Floats"!

Hate Floats = comedy gold

for self described/depricating dorks everywhere, this will be THE funniest episode of anything you have ever seen.

Kudos on Hate Floats!! The Hulk Hands were an amazing touch. As soon as he put them on I was like, "Oh Jesus, they'd better have sound!!" I was very pleased.

I have never felt more for Dean. LOL great episode, thought i'm still trying to watch it. Damn AS and their non working streaming things....

I just hope the execs factor in the number of the times the streams are accessed in addition to the TV ratings when deciding whether or not to renew a show.

Right now, I think where in the midst of a golden period for Internet TV, where the advertising is minimal. That's probably going to change if it becomes more popular. I wonder what the cable suppliers think of that, as I'd imagine that it has the potential to put them out of business in the future.

If you think the clips on adultswim.com are that spoiler-heavy and joke-killing, I'm glad I've decided to steer clear of them.

And I hate the fact that my lack of a high-speed connection means I have to spend this entire season two days behind everyone else. I prided myself on watching each episode of the first season as it premiered (I even commandeered the television in the staff suite at a gaming convention so I wouldn't miss one), content in the knowledge that everybody was getting to see them at the same I did (well, except for those people in the mountain and pacific time zones, but who cares about them?). Now I have to worry about surprises getting ruined by some unthinking blabbermouth all weekend long.

Oh, it is to sigh.

Fensler Film reference

Thanks for one of the henchmen (I forget which number) wearing a "porkchop sandwiches" t-shirt. I about died of laughter.

you only listed 12 episodes, does the 13th episode name give away too much or something? Sorry if I sound like a complainy pants, I just found it odd.

P.S. I am LOVING this new season! Am I remembering correctly that Jon H Benjamin will be doing voices this season as well?
